| Flying fish are as mysterious as menehoonies, as playful as leprachauns and as difficult to capture on film as UFOs. Catalina Island is home to the Flying Fish Festival held each year on the weekend before Memorial Day, wherein we welcome the flying fish back to the island. Catalina is a nursery for the largest flying fish in the ocean. They come to lay their eggs in the abundant kelp forests that surround the island. Our artists have been inspired by these creatures. We probably have the largest single collection of flyingfish art in the world. here are some new ones: | ||
